Bosco School, Silchar successfully organized the Saint Zatti
Inter-School Tournament 2025, a three-day inter-school sporting event
held on 12th, 13th, and 15th November 2025, in honour of Saint
Artemides Zatti, commemorating his Feast Day on 13th November. The
tournament brought together 21 schools from Silchar and nearby
areas, showcasing a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship and youth talent.
The grand inauguration
ceremony was held on 12th November at 9:30 AM in the school premises. Shree
Shibabrata Dutta, President of the District Sports Association of
Silchar, graced the event as Chief Guest, while Shree
Mrinal Kanti Roy, FIFA Assistant Referee, attended as Guest of
Honour.
In his keynote address, Shree Dutta
emphasized the vital role of sports in holistic education, highlighting how
physical activities contribute to students’ overall growth. He lauded Don Bosco
School for promoting sports culture in the district. The Guest of Honour, Shree
Roy, urged students to embrace discipline and dedication, drawing inspiration
from eminent sports personalities.
Competitions were held across three
major disciplines—Football, Volleyball, and Kabaddi. The concluding
ceremony and prize distribution on 15th November featured the
semi-final of the Under-14 Boys’ Football, finals of the Under-18 Boys’
Football, and Kabaddi and Football finals for Under-18 Girls.
In Volleyball, K.V.
Kumbhirgram emerged champions, with K.V. Masimpur as
runners-up. Don Bosco School Girls clinched the Football
title, defeating Delhi Public School. In Kabaddi, Don
Bosco School Girls again secured the championship, with K.V.
Masimpur finishing second. In the Under-18 Boys’ Football, Don
Bosco School won the championship, while St. Paul School
stood runners-up. St. Mary’s School triumphed in the Under-14
Boys’ Football, with Delhi Public School as runners-up.
The Saint Zatti Inter-School
Tournament 2025 concluded with resounding success, earning high appreciation
from students, teachers, and guests, while fostering sportsmanship and unity
among participating schools.
